SNK World Championship 2026 Format Revealed

The "SNK World Championship 2026" (SWC 2026) has been officially announced to determine the world's best SNK fighting game players. 32 elite competitors from around the globe will clash on the ultimate stage.

Tournament Schedule & Structure

• Opening Event: Qualifiers begin on January 29, 2026, at "Frosty Faustings XVIII 2026."

• Online Qualifiers: To be held across 9 global regions. Winners from each region will receive a spot in the Main Tournament and ranking points.
• Grand Finals: Features the Main Tournament and the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

Prize System

• Grand Prize (Winner): $1,500,000
• Point-Based Rewards: Points earned during qualifying tournaments will be converted into prize money at a rate of $1 USD per 1 point.

Grand Finals Slot Distribution (Total 32 Slots)

Slots are divided into four categories: Invited, Qualifier Winners, Point Ranking, and LCQ.

Invited Slots (5 Total)

• SWC 2025 Winner: 1 slot
• EWC 2026 Winner: 1 slot
• SCS 2026 Winner: 2 slots
• TBA: 1 slot

Qualification Slots (27 Total)

• Legend Tournament Winners: 3 slots
• Online Tournament Regional Winners: 9 slots
• Point Ranking (Top Point Earners): 13 slots
• LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier): 2 slots
