GO1 (Japan), representing DetonatioN FocusMe, won the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves division at Evo 2025, one of the world's largest fighting game tournaments, held from August 2 to 4, 2025.
The division saw 1,576 players participate from around the world. GO1 achieved the remarkable feat of securing back-to-back major tournament victories, following his win at the Esports World Cup 2025 last month in July.
Evo 2025 served as a qualifying tournament for the "SNK World Championships 2025 Finals." However, the champion, GO1, had already secured a spot in the Finals at COMBO BREAKER 2025. Consequently, according to the rules, the qualification spot was passed down to the runner-up, ET (Taiwan) of Falcons Esports.
