Kshuewhatdamoo Wins GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- at EVO 2025

  • American player Kshuewhatdamoo takes the championship and secures a spot in the Arc World Tour Finals.
  • RedDitto finishes as runner-up, following his second-place finish at Evo Japan 2025.

The world's largest fighting game tournament, "Evo 2025," was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the United States from August 2nd to 4th, 2025. In the GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- division (1,514 entrants), the American player Kshuewhatdamoo claimed his first championship title.

Kshuewhatdamoo advanced to the Grand Finals without dropping a single set from the qualifiers through the Winners' side of the tournament. Following his victory at the Gold+ tournament "CEO 2025" held in June of this year, he secured the Evo crown, achieving the remarkable feat of consecutive wins at the world's premier fighting game events.

The runner-up was fellow American player RedDitto. He had previously won the "Arc World Tour 2024 Finals" in March and took second place at "Evo Japan 2025" in May, consistently achieving top placements on the world's biggest stages, once again demonstrating his skill as a top-tier competitor.

η”°Grand Finals

The Grand Finals featured Kshuewhatdamoo (Johnny), who advanced undefeated through the Winners Side, against RedDitto (Ramlethal), who fought back from the Losers Bracket.

RedDitto had dropped to the Losers Side after a loss to Aboii in the Winners Semifinals, but he demonstrated great resilience to reach the final. In the Grand Finals, RedDitto maintained his momentum to secure a 3-0 sweep, successfully resetting the bracket.

However, in the final reset match, Kshuewhatdamoo regained control with a dominant performance. Reversing the previous momentum, Kshuewhatdamoo secured his own 3-0 sweep against RedDitto. After a series of intense shutouts, Kshuewhatdamoo emerged as the champion.
