Adjustments for Update Scheduled on December 16th Revealed

  • Main adjustments focus on three characters: Mai, Elena, and Sagat.

The details of the update scheduled for December 16th have been announced, featuring adjustments primarily centered around the three characters: Mai, Elena, and Sagat.

Elena and Sagat

  • Objective: Adjustments were made to improve the usability of their main moves, enabling them to better express their unique character styles. This expands their range of combos and links.

Mai

  • Problem: Combos utilizing all versions of Kachousen were too powerful, making it extremely difficult for opponents to deal with her offense, especially when cornered.
  • Adjustments: We aimed to reduce the difficulty barrier in countering her offense and suppress its looping tendency.
    • It is now more difficult to induce Burnout when opponents block or use normal parries.
    • The situation after a forward throw in the corner has been tweaked, making it easier for the defender to manage Mai's offense.

Universal Changes and Bug Fixes

ItemAdjustment / Fix Details
Drive Gauge AppearanceTo make it easier to distinguish whether or not each block has Drive remaining, the color of the block will change if even a small amount of Drive remains.
Crouching Light Kick for All CharactersAdjusted so the hurtbox around the feet that appears before the attack hitbox comes out is invincible to cross-up attacks.
Manon, Lily, and Zangief's Super Art Level 3/CAOmitted an unnecessary block idle hitbox that was set before the throw hitbox comes out. (Fixes an issue where the SA/CA timed with jump landing could be avoided.)
Projectile ClashesFixed a bug where the timing for multi-hit projectiles' hitboxes disappearing would be inconsistent when canceling each other out, even when performed in the same situation.
