Xiaohai becomes the inaugural EVO France champion using Hotaru
3rd place AbuOmar secures qualification for SWC 2025 Finals
Evo France 2025 was held in Nice, France, from October 10 to 13, 2025. In the 'Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves (CotW)' division of the tournament, Xiaohai (China), affiliated with KuaiShow Gaming, took first place. The division saw 389 players participate.
While Xiaohai has secured multiple Evo titles in the KOF series tournaments, this marks his first Evo victory in a 'Fatal Fury' division.
This tournament served as a qualifier for the "SNK World Championship 2025 Finals (SWC 2025 Finals)." Since both the winner, Xiaohai, and the runner-up, Kindevu, had already secured their spots in the SWC 2025 Finals, the qualification slot was passed down. As a result, AbuOmar (Saudi Arabia), who finished 3rd, earned the right to compete in the SWC 2025 Finals.
The Grand Finals featured Kindevu (Kain) from the Winners Side against Xiaohai (Hotaru), who climbed back from the Losers Bracket.
After dropping to the Losers Side in the Winners Top 24 following a loss to SHADOW X, Xiaohai went on an incredible seven-match winning streak to reach the finals. He maintained this momentum in the Grand Finals, securing a 3-1 victory to reset the bracket.
In the final reset match, Xiaohaiβs clinical execution remained unmatched. Scoring another 3-1 victory, Xiaohai completed his grueling run from the Losers Side and claimed a well-deserved championship.
